Quite distinctive vessel on the left, would that be at the Neptune yard?

No George, that would be Swans at Wallsend.
Perhaps the very end of the "Mauretania" berth on the left with the crane gantry of the dock building berth behind it.

You should be able to trace the liner, then! Very distinctive bridge for that period, with its multiple windows, plus the tall foremast and 2 kingposts.
