Fish Quay sunset 3.jpg
My favourite perch by the fish quay was occupied by a fishermen on this particular evening so second choice was a spot near Lloyds Hailing Station cabin.
Am I correct in assuming that the collection of piles are the remnants of one of the ferry landings located hereabouts in the distant past?

Great photo, not sure where you took the photo from but those piles look to be the jetty out to the old Lloyds hailing station of which a fair part still exists today OR is that part of the old lifeboat station

The jetty in the photo was very narrow, only a couple of planks wide as I remember. Both the lifeboat and Lloyds jetties would be somewhere behind me at the time.
Close by the spot there used to be a building which I believe was a mortuary.
