This photo was in tonights Shields Gazette and shows the ferry Wallsend out on a river picnic with the South Shields Parliamentary Debating Society. The article has the shot as taken at Wallsend but methinks it is Shields. The first tug after the Corpath is the Washington.

Where they were was the subject of a long debate .....
But presence of the ex German (war prize) CORPATH puts the time between 1921 and 1934.
