Scanned from a print in my possession. Unfortunately here is no information regarding the event written on the reverse side of print.
Perhaps the pontoon/ferry landing is heading for a scrap yard?

This is the River Tyne Port Sanitary Authority isolation hospital that was berthed on the Jarrow Slake. Built by Wood, Skinner in 1886. I think the photo shows it/her being towed away for scrapping in 1930.

It will be interesting to see where the vantage point is going to be, POT has gone very quiet on the subject when asked.
