TGF was wound up in 1909 and many of the ferries were sold on, over time. These look a bit careworn and perhaps are awaiting sale.

The location of the yard must be just downstream from Hawthorn, Leslie's engine works at St Peters (I think)

The outboard ferry has a hinged foremast and appears to have a hinged funnel - was this to allow passage beneath the swing bridge without it opening?

Her sisters or near-sisters were:
MAY and MABEL of 1891, ISABEL and DORIS 1889 and PHOEBE 1895
The company ceased trading in 1908 and the vessels were scrapped or sold.
