A fine vintage tug in the River Hull

Cook, Welton & Gemmell, Hull (17) as ROSE for John Hobson, York
3/1888 to Henry Leetham, York
2/1896 to his son Henry Ernest Leetham, York
3/1901 Henry Leetham & Sons Ltd.
4/1912 register closed after conversion to a dumb barge
10/1927 re-engined and re-registered as LEETHAM'S ROSE, same owners
probably best classed as a 'towing barge' rather than a pure tug
10/1928 to Spillers Ltd., London
5/1941 to Cristo Ltd, managed by Herbert W. Oldroyd, Hull
2/1954 again to Spillers Ltd.
08/1955 register closed after breaking
