A fascinating view by Albert Weller of tugs and ships in the River Wear circa 1962:

From left to right:
GLANOWEN: W. Dickinson & Co. Ltd., Swansea, British, 2066gt, completed Grangemouth Dkyd Co. Ltd., Grangemouth, 7-1944, ex Empire Peggotty-46.
1965 BALMORAL (Liberia), 12.3.1967 stranded River Weser, Germany.
(Miramar = wrecked Mellum-Plate, Weser 13.3.67 [Ghent-Bremen, ballast] - forepart BU)

ROBERT REDHEAD: France, Fenwick, Tyne & Wear Co. Ltd., 178gt, built 1900 by Rennoldsons, Shields, ex Hannah Jollife
1967 broken up.

EPPLETON HALL: France, Fenwick, Tyne & Wear Co. Ltd., 166gt, built 1914 by Hepple, Shields.
1968 sold to be broken up but preserved San Francisco.

And, good detection by John Proud who did all the identifications for this view - on the extreme right:
NETHERLANDS COAST (5249687): Tyne-Tees Steam Shipping Co., 867gt, completed 6-1953 by G. Brown, Greenock.
1968 BAT HARIM (Israel), 1974 WOODCOCK (Panama), 1974 HONG LEONG (Panama),
No Longer updated by (LRF) IHSF (since 07-09-2010) = deleted.

Days long gone! But not forgotten, thankfully!
