South Dock was a good place to find tat in the early 1980's, floating or otherwise. Did not catch the tugs which sank there but the PATMOLDON 1 was just above the waterline

Graham,

Now that you mention the PATMALDON 1 (note correct spelling) I wonder if anyone knows her actual eventual fate?
Miramar show only: deleted, date unknown.

Her details:
PATMALDON 1 (5188912), 276gt,
completed Harker, Knottingley, 1957
1957 KIRKDALE H - 1974 PATMALDON 1

It was 1981 that I first saw her in Sunderland docks.

Ron

I would not be surprised if PATMALDON 1 was at the bottom of the dock as part of an artifical reef. Actually no because to be a reef she would have to be in one piece with holes. From memory she was not in the best of condition. At best she could have been broken up in situ, I used to be a frequent visitor, like many of us were in thoses days and guess it was a case that we took t for granted, well I did anyway, where she was and then she was gone. Same happened to the KAVA SOUND
