Ship at Manor Quay is Crowns ANDWI, , Yard number 237, without any doubt. I have a builders photo taken from the bow that clearly shows the stern of the tug ROKER moored nearby. I would happily post the photo but its too great a file size for the site limits. Crowns launched another ANDWI in 1947
ANDWI: 12,315 dwt tanker by John Crown. for Kommandit Rolf Wigands Rederi, Bergen. Fore end launched January 1954, aft end launched 4th June 1954, joined in Dry dock. My Crowns list says launch 19.06.1954, so that might be the date the two halves were floated out of dry dock??? Broken up at bilbao as CTL after grounding.
Sulzer 9 /729 engine by Cie De Const. Mech. , St. Denis

Crowns also built the Rondnefjelle in two halves and it was nicknamed the "Half Crown " ship. For those too young to remember, half crown was a large silver coloured coin, pre decimalisation equal to 22.5 pence today. Hopefully there are some that young aho still have an interest in North East Maritime

ANDWI. This shows ANDWI at Manor quay but from the bow with the aft end of the tug Roker that looks like its moored. The picture originally with this post seems to be taken at a similar time to this attachment. The original picture seems to show two rowing boats immediately beneath the aft end of the fo'c'sle. This attachment shows one boat with two occupants in a similar position. The attachment is a builders photo, cropped then reduced in size to allow for the file size limit of 500KB
