WOW definitely not.So the only close match is the SHEAFHOLME and completion date is a bit early after being launched.

I've already ruled our SHEAF HOLME her launch/completion dates were 2/55 - 5/55 so fell between the two DONA's.
Still a repair job in my opinion, not a 1954/55 build.

Repaires were carried out by T.G.Greenwells not JLT.This is a new build being fitted out and because shes facing down river she as come from JLT slip-way and because most of the tankers built in 1955 can be eliminated by comparison(only the completion date is the sticking point) and at some time recently some vessel as been doubled banked with her due to the fenders on the stdside which may have delayed her fitting out time.

The 'fenders' may be staging ready for the painting seen in the second photo?
Well we seem to have eliminated all the JLT tankers of the period so I give up!

I did try to help with this by looking in the Sunderland Echo, but of course the online editions only go as far as 1953. However I thought it worth mentioning for future debates that if I search for "high water" (which is clearly displayed in capital letters & therefore usually found by the search engine) brings up a list of the "Positions of ships in the Port of Sunderland". Seems to be published at least weekly and often daily. Probably never get into this sort of debate again, but you never know.
