Why is this Stain Glass on display in the foyer of the civic centre and not the Glass Centre? where it is more appropriated.

As a War Memorial, I would have thought better where it is?
Local people will pass it frequently .... can same be said of the Glass Centre?

So was that done to commemorate the Oceans, the Forts and the Parks which were built in the US and Canada and based on the "North Sands" Type????
Picture does look a bit like the North Sands Type, but what's the First War Link.......Hmmm
Tony, you will have to make another visit to the Civic Centre and tell us what it says.
Please, please, please etc.....

EMPIRE LIBERTY
"To commemorate all those seafarers who sailed from the Port of Sunderland in times of war and peace many making the supreme sacrifice in the cause of liberty"
as the tide ebbs and flows we will remember them
