Paul,

Yes, foyboatmen seems to be a term restricted to NE England, including the Tees. Elsewhere, as far as I know, they are simply called mooringmen!

Looks like they are pickng up part of the launching ways.

OPAL was an Admiralty M Class. 1025 Tons Displacement (Average.)
3 x 4 Inch.
1 x 2 Pdr. Pom Pom.
1 x Mg.
4 x 21" Torpedo Tubes in twin Mounts.

Wrecked 21st January 1918 off the Orkneys. Wreck sold 18th August 1932.
