Originally a John Crown contract with its sister Flying Wizard, for the Clyde, they were completed by Thompsons at North Sands, who had taken over Crowns. Flying Witch was crowns contract number 248 and Flying wizard contract 249. As such, they were the last ships with Crowns numbers. I have them as being powered by Deutz diesel engines.
