Two fine Sunderland oldies captured in this photograph taken by the late Allan Green. MAITLAND built by Knox & Co at Hylton in 1885, bringing in the ELLAROO. The ELLAROO was built by JL Thompson as the ASLAUG HAALAND in 1921. Sold to the Melbourne SS Co Ltd in 1922 and renamed, she lasted till 1961.
