Laings ships, but Laings was then part of The Doxford and Sunderland Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, and builders were not identifed by the yard where they were but as "Doxford and Sunderland."
Laings yard number 844 in 1969 for Jacobs.
Doxford 76J6 engine, number 393. Top picture at Greenwell's quay bottom picture at Sunderland North Dock. Sister ship was Hollywood, yard number 845 engine number 394. Both of these were products tankers.
Laings built another Laurelwood in 1953: yard number 800 with an NEM Doxford 600LB6 engine, number 3221. It became Cherryleaf, Agios Constantinos, Irenes Fortune.
