Rejected at birth BELLOC was surplus to requirement and so was put up for sale and spec was changed to a standard SD(see launch photo.no bulk-walk)but unable to sell her she was completed to her original spec.down to the extended height of the funnel and missing bridge front window (3rd.Eng.cabin)

Although never considered to be Container Ships were SD14's fitted with securing points on the decks alongside the hatches???

Or were they retro-fitted?????

I can find no mention of them in the SD14 Spec in John's book.

From original spec,strengthened tank tops.etc.
Container capacity 110 teu
No.1 hold &tween 10
No.2 hold & tween 30
No.3 tween 6
No.4 hold & tween 24
Upper deck P&S 20
Upper deck hatches 20
They carried a number of their own containers(with ships name on side)
