Tyne tugs

When my Dad left and Granddad last worked for Tyne tugs there was 31 tugs and when my Dad left there was 24, now we have three and I wonder for how long as Svitzer is not a charity.

Today Other than the ferry I see one ship and a dredger in the whole Tyne with 5 in Blyth (there was 9 yesterday plus a barge and dredger)

Other ports have expanded especially with container terminals which the PTA has not increased and never replaced the coal ships even the car carriers are getting less and less each week
