Looking at the amount of water being thrown over the north and south piers today I wasn't surprised to see HADRIAN come back into the river and wait just inside the piers. I'm not sure how far out she ventured towards the inbound bulker ALYTUS, it was probably quite "lively" out there!
So I am presuming it was a river pilot boarding the bulker off the Herd Sands Groyne. Better to be safe than sorry!
