Since her launch in 1955 for Tees Towing Dunheron had an interesting career and was part owned by in 1991 by Tyne Towage ,
My Dad was her skipper for a year while waiting for his new tug being built when she was owned by the Newport Screw Towing Co Newport South Wales in 1968 and after further ownership with others she was finally broken up in 2013 as the Golden Cross after running aground near Shepherds Point, Ardentinny, Argyll.

I wondered what had happened to her Mike. Didn’t realise it was as long ago as 2013.
