Well now . . . ish. It would appear that my scanner doesn't scan to PDF unlike George's which is obviously inlaid with gems and precious metals.

So I just scanned it as normal.

Hi Dave, Thanks for despatching the story.....looks fine to me. I can't get my scanning apparatus to work, not that I know much about it anyway and I don't understand all these image abbreviations. I though that PDF might have stood for Puttit Down Fast.

I think that the 2nd engineer did a great job in presenting this account. The situation as seen by the skipper would have been staggering as well particularly from the navigation point of view. It wasn't exactly a coastal trip and deep sea conditions would apply.
