I wonder what was the occasion?

Obviously Naval and I can see Alex Marsh (with the beard) in the centre of the group. I would guess Alex Marsh was one of the joint MDs at this date.

This caused me to wonder if she was still around on the Tyne, so I looked at Dave's tug site:
http://www.tynetugs.co.uk/stern1924.html
and found he has recorded: 2007: Was taken to India with many other SHS (Swan Hunter) assets such as the floating dock & cranes. Which answers my question!

Dave: a couple of photos seem to have gone missing from your page: http://www.tynetugs.co.uk/stern1924.html

Yes, thanks Ron. The photos are actually there if you keep refreshing the page. I've had a display problem with the site for a while and I have narrowed the problem down to the menu system which came with the website builder package that I started out with years ago. I am currently rebuilding the site to get away from the problem. Hopefully will be finished in a couple of months.
