But did it? Nationalisation took place at 12:00am on 1 January 1948.

Looking at the options on Miramar, the ship named MIGUEL in the background would appear to be the vessel completed by R. Thompson at Southwick, Sunderland, in 11-1899 as the EROS. She was the MIGUEL from 1925 to 1937.
