Smith's Dock No 8 Pontoon

A couple of photos sent to me by Terry showing Smith's Dock No 8 Pontoon being broken up at Gateshead. No date given but her last docking was AMBLE on 20/09/1938.

Interesting and the previous pix of the pontoon. AMBLE was docked 7-20 Sep 1938. No.8 had docked 2700 ships by then. She left for Gateshead 16 Oct 1938 to bu, presume by J J King. She was built as Smiths Pontoon No.1, presume renamed No.8 after merger with Edwards in 1899.
