Second of two colliers for Portsmouth Corporation, whose colours she wears
Comp. in February 1949 but delivered to the British Electricity Authority, so presumably her funnel colours were altered just after this photo was taken
(Her sister POMPEY POWER had been delivered in January and made only one southbound voyage to Portsmouth before being handed over to the new B.E.A., the nationalised electricity generator. She still survives as HAMEN.)
