Looking at entries in Miramar it looks as though the FREJA astern of the FULGENT is a product of the River Wear!
But which one?

Option 1: ITHACA, 1090gt, completed R. Thompson, Southwick, 4-1873
1873 ITHACA - 1881 RIEVAULX ABBEY - 1883 FREJA - BU Gothenburg 3q.1935

Option 2: HARROGATE, 2032gt, completed Short Bros., Pallion, 6-1883
1883 HARROGATE - 1898 FREJA - 1918 FRAGARIA - 1920 CECILIA SANNE - 1935 TELMA
sunk in ice 65.07N/25.02E 30.12.39

Thanks for the more detailed scans Kevin. Unfortunately it doesn't help me any. Both look like typical "Tyne Built" tugs but I don't recognise the funnel colours of the nearest one. Is that a black "splodge" on the white band or an insignia?

It doesn't look as though there is anyone on the bridge either.
