Wallsend Dry Docks

Another undated post card from Kevin. This one showing THEMISTOCLES and PORT PIRIE in dock at Wallsend.
I presume THEMISTOCLES from Harlands in 1911 and PORT PIRIE from Hebburn in 1907.

Close but not quite, Dave, this is the next PORT PIRIE, built as STAR OF INDIA by Workman Clark in 1910 and ran as PORT PIRIE 1916-1935. The earlier one had been sold in 1915. THEMISTOCLES had an exceptional life, 1911-1947 through two wars.
The Blue Star across at Hebburn must be a visitor, I think?

Thanks for the correction George. I had looked at that one as a possibility but discounted it.

With the advantage of the Port Line book (WSS), the later one has the two posts at the No.3 hold, otherwise they were quite similar.
