She is being replaced by a new cutter and has been sold for service on the Tyne.
I suppose the Teessiders are getting their own back on the Tynesiders for giving them Jonathon Woodgate :P
New cutter is STAINSBY so in her honour here is a song for a Stainsby girl

Interesting, knew a few Stainsby Girls and Chris Rea in my youth and now live on Stainsby Hill not far from the Long forgotten Village the remains of which are under a field which is not allowed to be ploughed, it's a pity that 'Time Team' never had a poke about whilst they were up North at Hartlepool or Lower Dinsdale. Hopefully they don't rip the bottom out of new one. A bit of irony a Pilot Vessel running aground.

Well that does not really count Ron, cause the pipe caused the problem.

Cutters were made of strong stuff in those days.

Could be Ron 2 knows something we don't. :D :D

It was one of the new Tupperware type Pilot Cutters in fact very new when the Cox took a short cut I believe getting back to the Gare Pilot Station and tore the backside out of her to the point that she was written off. Ron@2.
