Where on the Tees was this Michael, the top photo with the Offshore building?

Patrick, just to butt in. The OFFSHORE sign is on the building near the Transporter bridge and the viewpoint must have been on the unmade road just off the northern approach to the Transporter at Port Clarence. I hope the attached map makes sense. If not here then Michael was on a boat.

Interesting spot where the viewer was, both the Lackenby and the John H Amos moored to an old Jetty near there, the now
unmade road at one time led to a huge Ironworks with its own housing and School, I don't go that far back but I do remember the Benzene Refinery on the same site when they used the old School as its Offices with the Pitch Beds further down, when they caught fire which they often did you had no problems with a blocked nose as the fumes drifted across the River. There was also a Jetty where Wartime scrap was unloaded mainly small arms, these were shipped out by the railway which ran to that area.
As if that was not enough for the unlucky residents of Port Clarence they have heard quite recently (from a leaked source) that the small "Hillock" behind which is gradually growing into a proper "Hill" now contains Radio Active Waste from Christmas Island which cost the Taxpayer millions of pounds to ship here. The residents have been told not to worry as it is only "Low Level"
If it is only supposedly "Low Level" why did they not leave it where it was?
