FIERY CROSS (1957)

The 'top tug' in the fleet when I first took an interest.
Seen here on trials, and later with fire monitors fitted and rounded funnel.

And another nice one of her from Albert Weller:

An interim sighting between the two from George - rounded funnel, but prior to installation of fire-fighting equipment.

Albert Weller recorded the FIERY CROSS heading back towards Middlesbrough Dock having come off the CHINKOA (q.v. - visible in the distance):

Hope you're not getting sick of seeing photos of this tug, but I've included these two Albert Weller views as much for the background as the subject matter.
The FIERY CROSS is towing the LASSELL towards the Middlesbrough Dock lock exit with ROWALLAN CASTLE in the background (both these vessels will feature separately later).
The old cranes on the short quay adjacent to 10 Quay are of interest and I eventually realised that Albert took the second photo looking across the deck of the TEES FLOATING CRANE.

As WATERLAND. From my negative collection, photos taken at Terneuzen by Lawrence Amboldt - 19 March 1984:
