Interesting to compare two tugs from the same builder within two and a half years of each other.

Both built by Scott and Sons at Bowling.

Ingleby, October 1955 and Hutton March 1958.

Both were of similar size and power but Hutton was fitted with a Voith-Schneider Prop.

Both had a similar working life on the Tees as well. Ingleby sold 1968 and Hutton 1970.

My father was Chief Engineer on the Hutton (then many of the others). I spent all my school holidays on the tugs. Wonderful times
