50 YEARS AGO TODAY!

Although I joined the Teesside Ship Society in November 1964 the first time I recall joining them for a ship/dock visit was 50 YEARS AGO TODAY!

The first sighting was a pre-telephoto distant view of the inward-bound ORMESBY CROSS from the Tees Dock roundhead - 2 July 1969:

How empty was the background of the Tees Turning Circle, undeveloped at that stage.
