Stamgely enough it looks as though the bridge extension is original.
I suspect the attached photo is a trials shot.

Sadly no camera when I saw her fitting out in Princes Dock on 11 June 1966.
She has certainly given long service.

So was it a way of raising the height of the Water Canon ??? or cutting down on the expense of building a full deck below the Bridge......

The ASPELIA was not quite what I expected either. I was expecting her to be ex... Adsteam ....

However she was built as yard number 249 by Bharat of Indonesia in 1996 for the Cyprus Government, Port Authority.

338 Gross. 219 Dwt. And credited by Mirimar as having a very slow speed of 8 knots.
