Had to think about this one, Kevin.

I wonder if she had a new Bow fitted at some time????

Having said that she is the only one that fits the information in Miramar.

Launched as WAR COQUET by C Rennoldson, South Shields as Yard Number 194.
A wartime standard C5 Type, however the Bow is different and the C5 also had a well deck aft.
No doubt she was modified to suite her Owners requirements.
Dim 270 x 37.3 feet.
1,795 Gross.
Original Owner was Societe Navale Caennaise, (Mgr G Lamy & Cie.)
1935 Sold to A/S D/S "Ask" (A Kjerland Mgr.) Bergen.

Torpedoed by the E-Boat S53 East of the Wash on the 12 October 1941 and sank the next day.
London to Blyth in Ballast.
Crew 20. 3 Lost.

According to the WSS yard list she wasn't launched as WAR COQUET only laid down as such. The build contract was then cancelled.

WELL DONE RON.........

Kevins picture is of the 1936 Danae.

She's listed on Miramar as G. Lamy and Co. so I missed her.

I thought she looked wrong but not as modern as the 1953 one.

Another problem cracked!
