Steering trials during April 1984, showing the remarkable wake deflection achieved by the Becker flap rudder - for a 42,000 tonne deadweight ship she was very manoeuvrable.

Whilst rummaging about in some old British Shipbuilders publications, looking for something completely different, I came across this picture of the deckhouse being lifted onto Hoegh Duke at Wallsend on 12 September 1983. The deckhouse, weighing about 410 tonnes, had been built on one of the berths at Neptune yard.
