Launched; 23rd December 1920.
Completed October 1922 by Irvines Shipbuilding and Dry Docks Co Ltd, West Harbour, Hartlepool after the failure of the Newcastle Shipbuilding Co Ltd.
Owner; Compania Maritima, Bilbao. (E Cortina, Mgr.)
POR; Shown in the 1924 Lloyds as San Sebastian but obviously changed to Bilbao at a later date.
Dim; L 331.2 ft; Beam 46.9 ft; Depth 23.2 ft. P 33 ft. B 100 ft. F 28 ft.
3038 Gross. 2805 Under Deck. 1855 Net.
Signal Letters; MBNG.
Engine; T. 3 cy. 25", 41" and 68" by 45". 359 NHP. By Buckley and Taylor Ltd, Oldham.
Boilers; Three Scotch operating at 180 psi.

Caught Fire in Stabridge Dock, Garston on the 30th October 1935 and broken-up at Troon, 2nd June 1938.

So, was she towed away to be finished or finished at god's little garden.

Thank you Paul for those details. Most helpful. But as Tyneboy says, where was she finished? Did Irvine take responsibility and finish her on the Tyne, or did they load her up with all the bits waiting to be finished and complete her at West Hartlepool?

Lloyds has a completion date which agrees with your date for the closure of the Yard and Miramar has a later one, so I would guess she was towed away. She also has an Irvings Yard Number.....
