FORT GEORGE (8800690), British, 28821gt, completed Swan Hunter, Wallsend, 7-1993 (not now in Equasis)

Laid-up Liverpool Docks 27.01.12, taken from New Brighton.

A couple of her from inside the docks in 2011, before she moved further north.
Pity to see such a fine vessel redundant already.

Reported in March MARINE NEWS that the FORT GEORGE arrived at Aliaga 11 February 2013 to be broken up.

Fort George on number 1 berth and James Clark Ross on number two berth at Wallsend on 17 November 1990. Fort George's build dates were:
Start Fabrication September 1988
Keel 9 March 1989
Launch 1 March 1991
Complete 30 March 1993
Although laid down more than a year after Fort George (23 April 1990) James Clark Ross was launched three months earlier (1 December 1990) - it's amazing what can be achieved with the thought of a Royal launch to focus the mind!
