USCG Mackinac

The US Coastguard cutter Mackinac on a visit to Newcastle on 19 August 1965. She was built as a seaplane tender by Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and launched in 1941. Subsequenty converted to an escort vessel for the coastguard.
