Type 81 Frigate. John I Thornycroft, Launched 10th July 1960.
2,300 Tons Displacement
360ft x 42.5ft.
2 x 4.5in, 2 x 40mm, Limbo, Helo.
Sold to Indonesia in April 1984 and renamed WILHEMUS ZAKARIAS YOHANNES.
Deleated 2000.
RAPID is about the same length but is 7ft less in beam looks tiny in comparison........but thats all got to do with Big Cows and Little Cows........Father Ted Joke.
