The Cruel Sea

My favourite film is on television right now BBC2. Main Engine stopped Cylinder Drains open and my work list has also stopped :D If there was ever an RN vessel that should have been preserved in GB it was a 'Flower Class' good job the Canadians had the good sense to keep one back.
Even though I have watched the film numerous times the scene where they start flogging up the Tailshaft Bolts still makes me jump :o

Thanks for the photographs TEESMAN, doesn't she look smart, a credit to the Canadians pity she isn't in steam. A Hammock slung over the Mess table, done that on the Eastbourne my first seagoing joined her at the Anchorage at Torbay.
