A trio of German minesweepers alongside at Newcastle Quay, probably about 40 years ago

M1084 - FLENSBURG built by Burmester in 1959 & now a museum ship.
M1078 - CUXHAVEN built by Burmester in 1959. Sold to Estonia in 2000 renamed WAMBOLA.
M1087 - VOLKLINGEN built by Burmester in 1960. Sold to Latvia in 2000 renamed NEMEJS.

This would be June 1988. The support ship Nienburg A1416 and the inshore minesweeper Holnis A 1400 were also present on 3rd June.
