HMS PORTLAND alongside Newcastle Quay. Sorry no date on photo.
She was built on the Clyde by BAe Systems in 2001.

One the best Hull profiles in the RN, the "Whaleback" design a bit of a "pinch" dare I say from a great Hull design by George Selman whose design has been copied from Motor Yachts to the featured War Canoe over the years.
Liberty Men sorry Persons ;) "Fall In" for a great night ashore in Newcastle.
Buses laid on for the Metro Centre for the "Rabbits"
