WALCHENSEE - German Navy

Albert Weller slides of units of the German navy in Middlesbrough Dock, undated:

The A1424 is the oiler WALCHENSEE but other than that, as I'm not myself a grey-funnel enthusiast, I'll leave it those who are to identify and comments on the other vessels as they so wish.

The vessels ahead of Walchensee are probably the Type 149 MTBs Silbermowe 6052, Eismove 6055 and Sturmmowe 6053, all of which were decommissioned in March 1967. Walchensee was commisoned in June 1966, giving a date range for the photograph. The two vessels in the second photograph are Thetis class corvettes.

.... and I have only just discovered that, for the best part of 40 years, I have had this negative mis-identified as WALCHEREN!!
