...and this was the one used by Paul Mooney on BBC Look North weather - with St. Hilda's Church and The Pot House in the background.

Well caught, with ensign blowing in the wind and the old Church on the headland.

The survey ship HMS Enterprise, completed at Appledore in 2003, arriving for Northumbrian Quay this morning whilst pretending to be HMS Mersey on AIS.

There seems to be a lot of "fiddling" with the AIS these days not only with Russian owned Mega Yachts but also E.U. Fishing Vessels 'Going Dark' especially those who are fishing in areas they shouldn't be in particular Spanish Vessels. Altering /Switching off the AIS is acceptable if a vessel is in danger when Pirates are on the hunt.
I appreciate that the work situation is not good these days in the N.E. but I do hope that the locals have not resorted to Piracy on one of His Majesty's War Canoes.
Feels a bit odd now writing 'His Majesty!"

Second time round for us, Ron. Although I probably couldn't write it in 1952.
Seems odd to have a change of monarch but such things were frequent, my Granny lived through Her, His, His, His, His and Her.

Oh dear the memories going I forgot about the other George George  . "Her Majesty" was so long on the Throne and of course signing "Official" paperwork was all Her rather than His, barring for Putin showing us some artificial Sunshine or there is a Revolution His,His, His will remain for many years to come.

If not further twists in the tale, none of George V, George VI and Elizabeth II were born in line for the throne. Personally I don't give tuppence for any of them, as long as we don't end up with King Harry and Queen Meghan. :x

I am rather fond of Battenberg Cake for Tiffins ;) although I have not had any since Brexit.
