Taken only 6 weeks before the end of her RN service 15 Nov 2004.

Inverness was the 2nd of 12 Sandown class SRMH (Single Role Mine Hunters) in the British RN.
Stuck together by VT Southampton
Launch 27 Feb 1990
Comm 24 Jan 1991
Paid off 15 Nov 2004, to care & maintenace Portsmouth, for sale.
Sold 24 Jan 2006 with sisters Sandown & Bridport to Estonia.
Recommissioned as Estonian Sakala, an ancient Estonian County, 24 Apr 2008.
As at May 2014
12 Sandown class built for RN, 7 active based Faslane, Gareloch off the Clyde, 3 sold to Estonia, Walney cannibalised at Portsmouth, Cromer as static alongside training ship BRNC Dartmouth and renamed Hindostan.
3 built for Saudi Arabia in UK.
6 built for Spain in Spain to a modified design, Segura (river) class.
