DIDO.
ex HASTINGS.
Leander Class Frigate.
2,650 Tons Displacement. 372 x 41 ft.
2 x 4.5 in, Limbo and a Helicopter.
Later Ikaara, Limbo and Helicopter.
Launched by Yarrow on the 22nd December 1961.
To New Zealand on the 18th July 1983 and renamed SOUTHLAND.
Scrapped March 1995.

;) Now she might be passing a certain shipyard on the South Side of the River but what we are looking at is No 5 Staith at Whitehill Point and the tall building to the right is the Grain Warehouse at Albert Edward Dock. Nowadays you would be looking onto the Passenger terminal and the RoRo Berths.
