There has been a lot of mystery in regards to what is happening with this vessel which is turning into a bit of a saga,there is some good information on utube along with photographs presented by chap who seems to know, the vessel certainly has gained a "Freddie Mills" style nose aka her Bulbous Bow which is extensively damaged along with the bottom part of her Bow up to her leading Bow Thruster Tunnel. The Steel has been folded over and there are cracks in her Hull plating.
There is suspected Rudder Damage and possible Prop Shaft alignment problems as the Propellor was used to 'dig' the Stern out, there is also concern that the Hull may have suffered from 'Sagging' having being perched between the two Canal Banks.
It is well known that this style of vessel suffer from cracking and it is a matter of routine to do inspections with a Welder in tow (we thought the abominable O.B.O,s were bad )
The Chinese Shipyard are making a Copy of the Bow to replace the damaged areas, making "copies" is something the Chinese a very good at, ask the owner of Dyson

N.E. from what I can make out that report is from August and if I remember correctly she travelled at a much reduced speed through the Med with constant stoppages as it appears now that the Bow area had to be pumped out due to flooding and indeed in this chaps report it would appear from the photographs that a special Pump was fitted with the outflow just above the waterline (as she is now in a light condition presumably after her cargo of Chinese tat along with 1,000 of Lateral Flow Testing Kits was off loaded in Europe. She is now back in China for a new Bow to be affixed, this time managing not to hit anything when transitioning South through Suez, the return journey was also done at a much reduced speed.
The Saga does not appear to be over yet.

Getting stuck between two banks is not uncommon with Barge traffic on the Continent usually after an engine/steering failure, the Breadth of the Barges is restricted by the Width of the Locks/Sluices so they have gone for increased Length and some of the Barges are quite a remarkable Length to the point where the Locks/ Sluices have an extra set of gates fitted to cater for the different Lengths of the Barges.
Usually it is the longer Barges that get stuck across the Canals and unfortunately unless a rescue is not carried out quickly and the Barge is well and truly stuck, the Barge is then cut in Half with a floating "metal cutter/grab" (no idea what the correct name is ) as the Canal has to be kept open which is a terrible shame as usually the Barge is not just their work place but also their home. Hopefully they are insured and their Insurance Companies are better than those who operate in G.B. When it comes to the cost of a full replacement.

Looks like Evergreen are in trouble again, Their "Ever Forward" suddenly stopped when it ran aground in Chesapeake Bay U.S.A. Apparently she was due to make a turn which she missed, went out of the Bouyed ( Booee) Channel and came to a stop, they are getting worse than Bank Line
A good friend was on a Bank boat which hit a Reef in the South Pacific and had a great time with the nearby Islanders until another Bank boat came and picked them as his own vessel was C.T.L.
