Came across details of the prosaically named T & D C S NO 3 yesterday in CLIP. Built in South Shields in 1923, and registered at Grimsby in 1924.
I attach two extracts from MNLs 1924 & 1940 being the only info I have. Anyone heard of her before and what was she? Trawler? Any additional info welcome.

Quite a mystery, she does not seem to have made it into LR, checked 1927, 1932, 1940.
Presumably the initials of some Grimsby operator?
With a big beam for her length, maybe the C.S. could be Crane Ship?

Inspired thought, but a crane ship at Grimsby?

Same owner Ohlson had a T & DCS No 1 in 1925. Built at Hessle as the ACES No 3 in 1912. I think she was built as a steam barge.
But no record of a No 2.

I think that DCS stands for deck cargo ship. The T could be timber but that's only a guess

Interesting find Dave, Henry Scarr built ACES No3 in 1912 and then 4 and 5 in 1916, here are some photos. Seem to remember they may have been coaling barges for the Grimsby trawlers.

ACES barges maybe 4 and 5

ACES No.4 back at Hessle, built 1916

Great photos, looks as though they were built with a few heavy bumps in mind. So could the "T & D C S NO 3" be "T & D Coaling Ship No 3"?

Could well be, now need to find a Grimsby company 'T & D'
