Striped Funnel

Can someone remind me, was it on this Forum that we had a discussion re a steamer with red/white vertical stripes in a band on a black funnel? Possibly a NE shipowner. But it may well have cropped up elsewhere .....

Could be their CLIO, 2312gt, completed 6-1922
1924 BRIERE - wrecked near Pontusval, NE Brest 16.11.30 [Rouen-Casablanca, cattle & general]
with photos at: http://www.archeosousmarine.net/bdd/fic ... p?id=13680

Otherwise, near sister CYBELE, 2382gt, completed 10-1922
1924 CRUCY - 1931 PENTHIEVRE - shelled (British Army) near Calais 2.3.43

Owners actually rendered Cie Auxiliaire de Nav (extra i in Auxiliaire). If indeed one of these might be quite a rare photo given both were in the fleet for no more than two years.

Could very well be Ron.

I was wondering if the Funnel was Blue and Red instead of Red and White and came up with the CENS for Compagnie Nantaise de Navigation a Vapeur, Nantes BUT although she has a well deck the Bridge and Quarter deck are combined so its not her.

Your suggestion is F = 37' B = 64' P = 22' which is much more like it.
