Great Picture Brian.

I don't recall the Wooden Shed. Assume it must have had something to do with the Co-op. I think my regular visits must have been later that year or certainly the next. The Black Shed with the long shutters further down was the DFDS terminal.

The rest just looks the same!

Great photo. During that Navy visit on one day the tide was so high that it actually came over the quayside near the bridges. The wooden shed is actually two separate pillars that had elevators and conveyors to the warehouse across the road. Otherwise it was open quay. Uniteds Parkeston berthed here. The black shed was where the short wooden quay jutted out and was used by small coasters bringing spuds in from France, discharged by derricks. Standby for some more clear photos.

That used to happen quite often. I remember the Carpark behind the Guild Hall Flooding.
