Hi M. M. Great photo and thank you for posting. I saw the ship there but cannot remember whether it was that one or WU XI that was the first Chinese ship at the quay at around the same period. The gang way was plastered with red bunting and pictures of chairman Mao. You bring back happy memories of my favourite boyhood haunt. Thanks again. R. Mr. Mapplebeck was still in his romper suits when I started.

Evening, Ron, welcome on board.

The problem is you were only in nappies when I reached the romper stage!!

I did begin to wonder if it was you when I found I had exactly the same photo of the BOWDITCH (sent by you to me in the past) as you posted here on NEM .... and talking about the Tees Fire Boat should have clinched it (but didn't quite at the time!)
